As you know we needed to make changes in the middle of the game last week. Please find 2 new plays attached. They are simplified with specific routes to be run. We are going to work on them this afternoon. Please do what you can to study them before tonight. I know it's noon and I'm putting these up now.

So here are the plays that we will be working on. Please print and start to memorize them. Shrink them down to be able to put in your wrist bands.

Bears have not seen this play yet nor has Nolan. This is another formation that we will be using. Remember that colors are assigned to a player's location on the field!



Here is the I formation LEFT All the means is the WR is on the Left of the QB and that is the wya the play if going. I will post the I formation righ in a second.
Please print these and get to know them. We will be usng these plays all week and for next Saturday's game.

Arizona State Sundevils

First: We are working on getting access to the ASU scrimage in the 21st or the 28th. The 28th is in Sundevil Stadium and open t the public. Let mw know who is interested in going.

Also We have the oppportunity to purchase discounted tickets for the ASU Sundevils game against the Oregon State Beavers on October 3rd. I would like for as many of us that want to attend do it together. I have to get the exact prices again. I will let you all know by Tuesday. Is there anyone that is willing to take the task on of arranging the list of who wants to go, collecting the Money and getting the tickets. Email me if you are willing to assist.

It would be a real fun time to tailgate with the kids and enjoy the game.

Quick Update

Hey there,
I have to say a great first practice! I'm pround of you for working so hard today. I just need to add a couple of action items that I need to make sure that we have.

1) Arm play band - I would like everyone to purchase the band for the kids. Nathan has the one that I prefer. It's a cloth Under Armor. reason being the play window is bigger than the one that I bought.

2) Remember that Coach Scott has a huge water cooler for the kids and parents. Please just bring a cup or sports bottle.

3) Mouthpieces - They are a must! They need to be at practice and in the kids mouths during practice. They need to get used to them.

4) Can Drive - We are going to do a aluminum can drive to help cover some of the costs of a year end party if not all of it. Jim Jensen said they we would collect the cans every Thursday at practice. Please bring your cans to practice on Thursday and Jim will collect them. I will have flyers on Thursday.

5) I still have my discount coupons for Dicks and Sports Authority if you would like one. They will be with me a practice.

6) Nicknames. Please send them to me and I will update the Roster and forward to the teams moms when I have them all.

7) THE MOST IMPORTANT!!!!! IF YOU HAVE FLAGS FROM PAST SEASON PLEASE BRING THEM TO PRACTICE UNTIL I GET OURS FROM THE LEAGUE. WE NEED TO START ON FLAG PULLING DRILLS. ------- WE PLAY DF FIRST ------

Hey guys,
Thanks for meeting us this morning it was nice to meet all of you.

I need to cover a couple of points.

First let me Welcome our 7-8 team Mom Betsy Marlinga

1) We have found orange socks at Dicks sporting goods. I have registered the team so I have a coupon for 20% off purchase of 6 like items. So I will be giving the coupon to whom ever it going to do shopping. The Socks are 8 dollars - 20%,
They are also at play it again sports for about $5.50 and Jim Jenson found them on line for about $4.00 a pair. SO I'll let the Bears parents decide what they want todo

2) I have coupons for all of you for Dicks. It gives you six coupons. I'll have them at practice on Tuesday. I'm also going to sign up at Sports Authority

3)Jim Jensen will be ordering the purple socks for the Ravens. They are about $5.00 I believe. Jim If you can just reply to all with the cost for Ravens it would be great.

4) Mouth guards, Don't waste your Money on the expensive mouth guards they get lost and chewed on. The $1.00 ones from walmart are great. You can cut them down to fit the size of your childs mouth.

5) Coach Scott will be proviing water for all the practices. Please make sure to bring a cup, sports bottle or something to drink out of. Thank you to Coach Scott for volenteering.

6) Bears the size of the football that you can buy is a Junior size ball. One of the coupons from Dicks is for a football.

7) Nicknames and numbers get these to me when you can, both teams mom's will be arragning the silk screening and cost as soon as we get the Jerseys.

8) The snack schedule will also be provided as soon as we get the schedule. The team mom's will provide them for you.

Welcome to the fall edition of Coach Hooge's teams

Well We have some real exciting news as of just a few minutes ago. We now have a 7-8 team! All the coaches are excited to have them with us. This also gives us the ability for the spring season to have a team for our graduating players to move up to with familiar faces.

They are going to the the Bears this season. So Ravens and Bears OH my. So Jen get your creative juices going and see what magic you can do to have the blog look great! Thank you Honey!!!

Hey guys,
I just wanted to give a quick update note.
I just wanted to let you know that we are getting close to the end of registration period for Coast to coast Flag football. Website is www.coast2coastfootball.com Make sure when you register please add My name as a coach request. Jon Hooge. I have already confirmed several players that are going to be returning. If you have not let me know that you have registered please let me know that you have. I want to make sure that no one gets dropped off the team on accident.
I will keep you advised as soon as we get information on when the parent meeting will be and when we will start.

I also would like to have a mini summer camp on the next couple of weeks before the kids get bak into school. BUT I wanted to see if that is something that you are all interested.
